Jacket, cardigan, shirt and pocket square combo is dead on. The only thing that I’d personally change is the bow tie. Looks a little kid-ish to me. I’d rock something more like an ancient madder, or a kind of dark, woodsy paisley bow-tie (and in a heavier fabric than silk). The jacket sleeves could be slimmed but it’s hard to say with the bent elbows if the ripples are just positional.
I am feeling this full-on preppy look. Really like everything except the bow tie. It just doesn’t fit somehow. Agree with shawn – something slightly smaller, in a heavier fabric and more muted colours. Good look though.
@marcoTHEtailor: from what I know (and what a tailor told me) you can either have the check matched up with the shoulder or the body of the jacket; since the guy is sitting, it’s difficult to tell if it is not the second scenario.
And yeah, not gonna be original here – I’d change the bow tie. Can’t find anything wrong with the rest.
@ all – fwiw I submitted pics but the homies that run this blog emailed me personally to paraphrase here’s what they had to say “Sorry bro we can’t post your pics. They go so hard we’re afraid our readers don’t have enough pasta to soak up all your Swagu”
@Thomas – what’s the difference? Just looks to me like something that a New England college professor would wear (and I mean that as a compliment!). Not that I’ve ever been to New England. Or any college in the US! Would appreciate your advice on this.
